With the economy and what is happening with failing companies and people losing their jobs, it’s critical for people to have a “Plan B”.

Having your own business is more valuable now than it has ever been.  Do you have any idea how many people would love to have the opportunity you have at your finger tips?

Even if you are only making a couple of hundred dollars a month to supplement your income, it could be enough to keep your head above water in this economy.  Many bankruptcies have been averted because of an additional income of only a couple of hundred dollars per month.

This is the time to think outside the box.

If there’s one thing more than anything else that I believe an entrepreneur needs to be successful, it’s the right attitude.  It’s an old saying and I believe it is 100% dead-on right…”Your Attitude Determines Your Altitude”.

Here’s just one example of why attitude is so important.   When you start your own business, you’re going to have some people that love you tell you that you’re crazy, nuts, wasting your time, wasting your money, participating in a scam, being taken for a ride, etc.  If you’re attitude isn’t rock solid and where it needs to be, when stuff like this comes at you, you won’t be able to handle it and you will fail.  Your attitude can keep you going no matter what.  Ask any successful entrepreneur if they could have gotten where they are without a killer attitude and I guarantee you the answer would be no way!

Carnival Fantasy

As I write this post, I’m sitting on the Lido deck of the Carnival Festival cruise ship.  My wife Linda and I are here enjoying a trip that she earned through her network marketing company “Send Out Cards“.  We’re currently near the middle of the Gulf of Mexico on our way back from our stop in Cozumel, Mexico yesterday.

One of the best parts of Network Marketing, besides the ability to create any sized income that you desire are the incentive trips.  These trips are usually all-expense paid except for the airfare.  Since the airfare is usually the least expensive part of these lavish first-class excursions, that’s a great deal.  Plus paying for the airfare helps make any other expenses that you may incur tax deductible as a business expense.

Between my wife and I and our businesses, we’ve earned 9 free vacations over the last few years.  It really is a great way to travel.  Let someone else pay the bill and you relax and reap the rewards!

These incentive trips also are great for just that…providing incentive.  Remember the best and worst thing about having your own home-based business is that you don’t have a boss.  It’s very easy for you to say..”Nah, I just don’t feel like doing anything today”.  Having these trips dangled out in front of you like golden carrots really help you to stay focused on your goals.
